Now that the LG G4, Galaxy S6, HTC One M9 and Motorola’s phone have all been announced, buyers are likely weighing all of their options. If you’re not up on the latest news you won’t know where to look, so our list below has everything you need to know about the cheaper side of the Android isle.

Our list above has a few great smartphones that won’t break the bank, but many of them still cost nearly $300, which is out of reach for many. As a result, the list below will go over everything buyers need to know about some excellent Android smartphones that actually cost less than $200.
Finding a good smartphone is really easy, but finding a great smartphone that’s also cheap isn’t. There are countless terrible cheap budget smartphones with awful screens, poor performance and terrible battery life. They’re a dime a dozen on Amazon and coming out of China.
What we’ll be going over here are smartphones that cost less than $200, but that are actually worth spending hard-earned money on. These are budget smartphones that don’t suck. Of course leading the pack here is Motorola with the stunning new Moto G for 2015, but they aren’t the only ones that have something good to offer.
Not everyone can afford the fancy aluminum and glass covered Galaxy S6, or want to spend $500 or more for the LG G4 and its fancy leather design. As a result, you’ll end up searching for something cheaper, and we have exactly what users are looking for.
All of the phones in our slideshow below cost less than $200, yet are still great phones buyers will be happy to use, rather than just dealing with it because it’s all they can afford.

First on our list has to be the brand new 2015 Moto G. It's arguably the best smartphone I've ever used for under $200. It doesn't look, feel, or perform like a $200 phone. In 2013 Motorola announced its cheapest smartphone ever, the Moto G. It went on to sell millions and be its most successful smartphone to date. It was only $179, and offered an excellent experience for those on a tight budget. Motorola did something similar in 2014, and in 2015 they did it again but completely outdid themselves. This, guys, is the phone to buy. Read: 2015 Moto G Hands-on: Budget Price, Premium Phone The Moto G for 2015 was announced and released on July 28th, and the more expensive model sold out in less than a week. However, more are coming soon and the $179 model is still available, and you'll want one. It delivers a 5-inch 720p HD display, a powerful quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage with a micro-SD slot, dual front facing speakers, tons of customization on Motomaker.com, it is IPx7 water-resistant, and rocks a great 13 megapixel camera starting at $179. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and has a large 2,400 mAh battery. Almost the same size as the 2,550 mAh battery in the Galaxy S6. Yes, it's impressive. To be accurate the 8GB 1GB of RAM model is $179, and for $219 buyers can get the Moto G with 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM. Both are incredible for the price and can be customized with 10 unique colors and 10 accent colors. You can even buy additional backs in different colors for $14.99 from Motorola. |
