HTC One M9 Now Available in the U.S. is a post by Cory Gunther from Gotta Be Mobile.

Today, after nearly one month of waiting and just as promised the new HTC One M9 has officially been released in the United States. As of 12:01 this morning the smartphone went up for pre-order from multiple carriers in the United States, and is also available to purchase now from HTC.com.

On March 1st HTC took the stage at Mobile World Congress and announced its new HTC One M9. The smartphone was leaked countless times before the reveal, so there were no surprises when it was unveiled. And while many expected it to be released on the same day, like they did with the HTC One M8 last year, that wasn’t the case this year, but now we have all the release date details.

HTC confirmed the new One M9 release date was in Mid-March, but that was only for Taiwan, and users in the US have been patiently waiting for more information. Today we’re happy to confirm the HTC One M9 is now officially available for purchase, and also up for pre-order from multiple carriers. Read on for all the details.

Just like last year, the new HTC One M9 has a similar design as the model before it, but received updates in all key areas as well as overall design refinements. HTC changed up the all aluminum design by adding a two-tone look. Offered in silver with a gold trim, or a Gunmetal gray and black. The phone has plenty to offer, and you can buy one right now.

Today is a big day for both HTC and Samsung, as the One M9 and Galaxy S6 are both up for pre-order, and both will officially hit carrier shelves on April 10th. This is the first time two big Android devices have been released on the same day, so buyers have a tough decision when it comes to which phone they should purchase.

The unlocked HTC One M9 is available today and comes in the beautiful new two-tone silver and gold trim color option, as well as gunmetal gray, with 32GB of storage, and will run potential buyers $649 outright from HTC’s store.

It will come with the companies brand new, unrivaled “Uh-Oh” protection that offers buyers one free replacement from cracked screens, water damage, or even if you switch carriers. You’ll get a free replacement device within 1-year of your purchase, and if you don’t use Uh-Oh, they’ll give owners $100 towards another HTC One after the one-year Uh-Oh warranty passes. Meaning they’ll replace it if you break it, and reward you if you don’t.

HTC is offering the One M9 from its own store on AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, a developer edition with an unlocked bootloader, and a carrier unlocked model that will work on an array of different carriers. Most likely carrier versions won’t ship right away, but the unlocked and dev units should be available right now. There’s also an all gold color variant, but it’s currently listed out of stock.

HTC has standard shipping for free, but also offers two day, overnight, and even next day AM delivery choices, but some of those will cost you. Potentially you can get the new HTC One M9 ordered now, and have it delivered Monday morning, as Saturday delivery isn’t an option.

There is also a 0% interest financing option for those who can’t afford the $649 price tag. As a reminder, the phone sports a big 5-inch 1080p full HD display, a Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a micro-SD slot for expansion, an improved 20.7 rear and 4 Ultrapixel front camera, and a bigger 2,840 mAh battery.

Owners will be happy to see it’s running the latest Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and a new Sense UI 7.0 interface with plenty of changes, software and camera enhancements, as well as a new HTC Theme engine letting owners change the entire look and feel of the device in seconds. Grab one today, wait and pre-order from carriers (Verizon on April 1st) or get the Galaxy S6. You can head into a Best Buy today and try both phones and see what’s right for you.
