Fallout 4 Deals: 5 Things to Know is a post by Adam Mills from Gotta Be Mobile.
We continue to see new Fallout 4 release details emerge as we make our way into the summer towards the game’s release in November. Some of those details have included new Fallout 4 deals for PS4, Xbox One and PC. With that in mind, we take a look at five things we think you need to know right now about Fallout 4 deals.
In June, Bethesda finally announced a sequel to its 2008 title Fallout 3. The game is unsurprisingly called Fallout 4 and it will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in November. It’s one of the year’s biggest releases and it’s a game that many people have their eyes on ahead of the fall.
Bethesda outlined tons of Fallout 4 release details in June but it didn’t outline them all. We continue to see new and important Fallout 4 details emerge in the weeks after its initial launch including information about Fallout 4 bundles, gameplay, strategy guides, and more. We also continue to see new Fallout 4 deals emerge.
Fallout 4 has been up for pre-order ahead of its November 10th release date. And while many consumers have already put in a pre-order for the game, plenty more are holding out for reviews or future Fallout 4 deals. Both are inevitable.
With the month of November drawing closer and new Fallout 4 deals emerging, we want to take a look at five important things you need to know about current and future Fallout 4 deals.
If you’re looking for a deal for PS4, Xbox One or PC, this will bring you up to speed with the latest discounts. If you want something more, this roundup will also set your expectations for the future.
Best Buy Fallout 4 Deals
There are only a few static Fallout 4 deals and Best Buy has two of them.
The first is open to those in the My Best Buy program. Those who are a part of the My Best Buy program will get $10 in rewards just by pre-ordering the game. You don’t need to pay anything to gain access to this deal which makes it a tempting deal for those of you that do a lot of shopping at Best Buy.
The retailer’s other deal requires a membership to its Gamers Club Unlocked program. If you decide to pay the membership fee, you’ll be able to knock 20% off your game orders including Fallout 4. This drops the price of the game from $60 to $48. It’s a nice little discount though you’ll want to weigh the pros and cons of the GCU program before you join.
These Fallout 4 deals are available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Microsoft Fallout 4 Deal
If you’re looking for an Xbox One Fallout 4 deal, you’ll want to take a look at Microsoft’s offer as well.
If you pre-order Fallout 4 through Microsoft, you’ll receive a $10 Xbox gift card digital code within 10 days after Fallout 4’s release on November 10th. That’s a nice little incentive, especially if you typically order games from Microsoft.
The company is also offering a unique bundle that tacks on a copy of Fallout 3 at no additional cost. This is an exclusive, limited time offer which means that you’ll want to take advantage of it sooner rather than later.
Other Fallout 4 Deals
We’ve seen some other Fallout 4 deals emerge though most of them haven’t stuck around for very long. For instance, a UK retailer was offering a pretty steep discount on the PS4 version of the game a few days ago but that deal is no longer active. We expect to see more timed deals emerge in the weeks and months ahead.
We’ve tracked down two more interesting Fallout 4 deals though they don’t knock anything off the price of the game. These two deals come from Amazon and they’re for Fallout 4 related books including two strategy guides.
Amazon is offering The Art of Fallout 4 for 13% off its usual price. The retailer is also offering discounts on the regular and collectors edition versions of Prima Games’ official Fallout 4 strategy guide. Not everyone will want to use a strategy guide for the game but the collectors edition should appeal to those who love collecting everything Fallout.
Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition Deals
Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition is the collectors version of Fallout 4 that comes with a number of intriguing items, the most interesting of which is the real-life Pip Boy Edition. The game sold out within a few days of Bethesda’s announcement and that’s left people scrambling to find one ahead of its release date in November.
At this point, finding the Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition for $120 is going to be very difficult but you’ll still want to look for “deals” as we much deeper into the year and closer to its release date.
If you’re looking to secure a price close to $120, you’re going to have to keep your eyes wide open. We haven’t seen any listings on eBay or Craigslist for $120 but that could certainly change as we get closer to the release date and sellers start to get antsy. Right now, most listings are for $300+. Hopefully some of these people have a change of heart.
At this point, the only real Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition deal that we could see is one from Best Buy. If Best Buy gets more stock, those in the Gamers Club Unlocked program will be able to get the game for $95. That’s the only true Pip Boy Edition deal that we’ve seen since June.
If you’re alright with using an unofficial Pip Boy, there are some unofficial Pip Boy Edition deals you can take advantage of right now.
Instead of hunting for a $200 Pip Boy Edition deal on eBay or Craiglist, you can purchase a copy of Fallout 4 ($60) and buy a Pip Boy Edition alternative for $100 or so. We’ve tracked down some solid alternatives and you’ll want to take a look at those before shelling out.
When to Expect the Best Fallout 4 Deals
If you’re looking to shave some of the price off the Xbox One, PS4 or PC version of Fallout 4, know that the best Fallout 4 deals probably aren’t going to arrive until after the game’s release on November 10th.
Games, popular games in particular, typically hover around the $60 price point in the months leading up to release. Popular games typically stay in and around $50-$55 in the weeks.
Fortunately, Fallout 4 is arriving just before Black Friday in late November. We typically see all sorts of deals on video games during Black Friday and there’s a very good chance we’ll see Fallout 4 deals emerge in and around that time as retailers try to one up each other.
If you don’t need to play the game this year, we’d expect deeper Fallout 4 discounts to arrive next year after the hype has died down.

In the buildup to the Fallout 4 release date in November, we've seen several Fallout 4 deals emerge. We haven't seen any massive price cuts (and we probably won't until after the game's release) but we've still seen some solid Xbox One Fallout 4 deals emerge including a new one from Best Buy. Best Buy is still offering the usual 20% discount to those who are a part of its Gamers Club Unlocked program. That knocks the price down to $48 for those that aren't good at math. The company is offering another Fallout 4 deal though. Best Buy is now offering $10 in rewards to My Best Buy members who pre-order Fallout 4 for Xbox One. It's not a price cut but it's a solid deal for those who do a lot of shopping at Best Buy. Of course, Best Buy isn't the only one offering a deal on Fallout 4. Amazon is offering $7 off to Amazon Prime members. That drops the price down to $57 including tax. It's not a huge deal but it's a deal nonetheless. Microsoft is also offering a Fallout 4 deal that will net you a $10 Xbox gift card digital code within 10 days of the game's release. This will be perfect if you're planning to buy a ton of new Xbox One titles during the holiday season. |
