HTC One M9 Rumors Heat Up As Cases Leak is a post by Cory Gunther from Gotta Be Mobile.
The HTC One M9 launch date is just a few days away where HTC will take the stage on March 1st and formally announce the brand new smartphone, possibly two, as well as some accessories or a new smartwatch. And while rumors have been spinning out of control lately, today we have a few more as the HTC One M9 release date nears.
Just days before the announcement, yesterday three videos leaked showing off the all-new HTC One M9. Although we can hardly call it new considering there appears to only be a few very minor changes to the design (buttons and camera) while the overall design remains the same. Lately a lot of rumors have suggested these are fakes trying to hide the real phone, but the evidence is stacking up against those.

At this point it’s pretty clear a new HTC One M9 is coming on March 1st, but what exactly it will be about is still somewhat of a mystery. We’ve seen countless images, renders, comments from sources and now video, but as the release date nears things aren’t letting up. Today HTC took to Twitter and made a few comments regarding the leaks, and now some case manufacturers have once again, revealed the HTC One M9 ahead of the launch.
In December and January countless images showed off the new phone with nearly no design changes from the HTC One M8 in 2014. Then, last month a new photo emerged showing what could be the true and final design of HTC’s next flagship phone, or two. This photo showed a radically different design, something different from the past two years and had many excited.
However, since that concept image of a fresh new HTC One M9 leaked, we’ve received nothing like it. Everything leading up to today, and the release on March 1st, is suggesting the new HTC One M9 will look extremely similar to last years model, but still have a wide array of new features and top tier specs to make it a viable option in 2015 to battle the Galaxy S6.
In regards to the three leaked videos yesterday, HTC’s own Jeff Gordan had a few choice words to share on Twitter.
The best parts of HTC's March 1st launch event are the parts you have NO IDEA are coming.

This doesn’t confirm the leaks are accurate, but is trying to build hype around the event considering the cat is already out of the bag regarding the HTC One M9, at least so we think. There are rumors of a new HTC One M9 Max, a new smartwatch, some other accessories and more, so there is plenty to see come March 1st when HTC makes all its announcements.
Jeff Gordon followed that tweet up with another one mentioning that a lot of users have opinions about the new phone based on rumors which “may or may not be true” whatever that means.
At this point it’s no secret a new phone is coming, and based on the countless leaks we’ve seen already it won’t have a radical new design, and the HTC One M9 should look very similar to the model released last year. And same goes for the 2013 original HTC One for that matter. To add even more fuel to the fire today a few more leaks are lending credence to the fact that what we’ve seen thus far is accurate, as case maker Spigen has released their new HTC One M9 case, showing off the new phone ahead of the release. See it yourself below.
At the same time, Spigen also has a few cases showing the other design of the HTC One M9 too. At this point things are getting rather confusing and it appears that HTC is sending out mixed images to different sources in an attempt to hide the final design ahead of the unveil on March 1st.
At this point we know the new HTC One M9 will have a 5-inch 1080p HD display, a powerful 8-core processor (4×4) with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sense 7 UI, and be packing a new 20.7 megapixel camera, a redesign to the buttons on the side, and possibly more. Rumor has it there’s a bigger 2,900 mAh battery for all-day usage, and a few other tricks up HTC’s sleeve.
All said and done the new smartphone will finally be unveiled on Sunday, March 1st in Barcelona Spain and we’ll be live with all the details for those interested.
