New Moto E Leaks for Those on A Budget is a post by Cory Gunther from Gotta Be Mobile.
Over the past two years Motorola has been dominating the budget smartphone lineup with devices like the Moto G, and then last year with the Moto E. This week though, a brand new Moto E has leaked with some decent specs given the price, and added one feature the original was sorely lacking.
Last year Motorola announced the first Moto E smartphone. A budget device for emerging markets offering decent overall specs, the latest version of Android, and more all with an affordable price tag. And if this latest leak is correct, they’re back with an even better offering in 2015.

The original Moto E was “made to last” and “priced for all” coming in at an extremely impressive and highly affordable $129 USD according to Motorola, and was extremely popular throughout 2014 even without important features like 4G LTE or a front facing camera, but both of those will be included on the new model this year.
The Moto E was priced at only $129, which made it one of the most wallet friendly smartphones ever released that wasn’t complete garbage. It runs the latest version of Android, had a decent screen, front facing speakers, and more, but it did have a few shortcoming that the company looks to address in 2015.
With a 4.3-inch 540 x 960 and a decent little dual-core processor the smartphone still had plenty to offer, which is why it was one of the most successful smartphones in the history of Motorola. Below is more information on the original, as well as what we know about the new Moto E (2nd Gen) possibly coming in 2015.

According to multiple leaks and the image shown below, the new Moto E will have a lot to offer and likely keep the same wallet-friendly price as the device prior. Leaks suggest Motorola is prepping to announce a brand new smartphone, possibly this week, that will be worth checking out if your on a budget.
We’re hearing the Moto E for 2015 will have a bigger 4.5-inch screen, but still be 540 x 960, so not quite a 720p HD display to keep the price down. It should have a low end Qualcomm Snapdragon dual or quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a 5 megapixel rear camera and more. Then, two things they didn’t offer last year will be included. Those being 4G LTE (a Verizon Moto E is in the works) and a front facing camera. At least according to leaks and the image shown above.
Another leak earlier this year suggests there will also be a Moto E (2015) for Sprint as well, but so far no official announcements have been made. The Moto G is still their best seller, and a new Moto X, Moto G, and more are expected to arrive later this year. However, the Moto E was announced in May, so a replacement in the coming weeks could be quite possible. We’ll have to wait and see.
Motorola sent out mystery emails to select press last week about a surprise package coming to their doorsteps on February 25th, and it could be a new Moto E, an improved Moto 360 Android Wear smartwatch, or something else entirely, but we won’t know for sure until more details arrive.
