Black Ops 3 Deals Arrive in Time for Beta Access is a post by Josh Smith from Gotta Be Mobile.
If you want to get in on the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta you will need to pre-order the game. That doesn’t mean that you need to pass up on Black Ops 3 deals just so that you can play the multiplayer beta in August.
Normally we would expect to see a spike in deals closer to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 release date in November, but there are two big deals that will likely beat the price you’ll pay on day one and for a month after the release. Plus if you order Black Ops 3 now, you can play in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta next month.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta is available to any user who pre-orders the game from a participating retailer and registers online. The Black Ops 3 beta is only available on PS4, Xbox One and PC, even though the game is coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360 as well.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 release date is November 6th, which is a Friday and both of these deals include release date delivery or pickup options.
Black Ops 3 Deals
Here’s how you can save $10 to $22 on Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and get in on the Black Ops 3 beta that starts in August. You don’t need to join any special club to save $10 on the game, but the biggest Black Ops 3 deals include Gamers Club Unlocked.
Amazon shows the price of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 as $59.99, but if you are an Amazon Prime member there is a $10 Prime Savings discount applied at checkout that drops the price to $49.99. This is available only if you are a Prime member and you will not see the price change on the page or on the main section of the page. Look in the Order Summary section to make sure you get the $10 discount.
Best Buy also offers a $10 reward certificate with a Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 pre-order. If you join the Gamers Club Unlocked membership program at $30 for two years, you can also save another $12 up front. Read our Gamers Club Unlocked review to see if this service is worth it to you.
With either of these Black Ops 3 deals you can save significantly on a new game without waiting months for a discount on the bargain bin. It is unlikely that we will see deeper price cuts to the 2015 Call of Duty release.
Keep in mind that Activision and Treyarch will announce the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Collector’s Edition this week at Comic-Con so you may decide to hold off for that announcement to order. You can typically save 20% on special editions and still get the $10 pre-order bonus at Best Buy. It’s not clear how long the Amazon Prime Savings will last.
Black Ops 3 Beta
One of the primary reasons to pre-order the game is for access to the Black Ops 3 beta in August. If you absolutely want to play, you should pre-order in July. The Black Ops 3 beta codes can take up to 72 hours to arrive from Best Buy and 48 hours from Amazon. If you have any problems with delivery you may need another day to sort out the order.
On the Best Buy forums, a decent number of users report not getting a Best Buy Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta code. Best Buy support members are assisting, but it is possible that the issue will escalate once the beta is closer.
Last year we saw a large number of Destiny beta code problems at Best Buy, and if you wait to order until the day of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta you may see a similar problem.
